1. Introduction

CamDuo ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the CamDuo mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Camera & Microphone Data

CamDuo requires access to your device's cameras and microphone to record video. All recordings are stored locally on your device. We do not access, view, or upload your recordings to any server. CamDuo works fully offline — no recording ever leaves your phone.

2.2 Purchase Data

The optional one-time "Remove Ads Forever" purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only the purchase status (active/inactive) — we do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

2.3 Advertising Data

If you have not purchased the ad-free upgrade, we display rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings. Users who purchased the ad-free upgrade do not see any ads.

2.4 Usage Statistics

CamDuo counts a few actions to help us improve the app, such as saving a video, finishing onboarding or opening the upgrade screen, through TelemetryDeck. These events never include your videos, file names or anything you record. A device identifier is hashed on your device with an app-specific salt before it is sent, so we cannot tell who you are, and the data is not used for tracking or advertising. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy → “Share anonymous usage statistics”.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To enable on-device dual camera recording
• To verify your one-time purchase status
• To display rewarded advertisements (free users only)
• To understand which features are used, with anonymous usage statistics you can turn off

4. Data Storage & Security

Your video recordings are stored locally on your device in the app's sandboxed storage. They are never uploaded to our servers or any third party. We do not operate any backend that holds your content.

5. Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store — Handles all purchases and verifies your purchase status
• RevenueCat — Receives the anonymous purchase status from Apple to unlock the ad-free experience in the app
• Google AdMob — Serves rewarded ads to users who have not purchased the ad-free upgrade
• TelemetryDeck — Receives anonymous usage statistics (see 2.4); can be turned off in Settings

6. Data Retention

We do not retain any video content. Recordings live only on your device until you delete them. Anonymous purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as your purchase is valid.

7. Children's Privacy

CamDuo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

You can delete all your local recordings through the app's Settings. You can manage ad preferences through your device's privacy settings. To request information about your purchase records, contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or on this page.
